Alma Forest School is located on a farm near the world-famous luxury enclave of Sotogrande, where it can offer children a unique learning experience. The outdoor classrooms are designed to allow the pupils (aged between 3 and 9 years) the opportunity to interact with nature, whilst being taught regular lessons. Alongside the basics such as reading, writing and mathematics, the children learn about compassion, self-awareness and leadership skills. Cape Reed’s gazebos with African reed that roofing provide the perfect outdoor structures.
The wooden gazebo is elevated from the ground and measures around 25m². It is designed to provide the shade from the hot summer sun and rain during the cooler months, so they can continue to enjoy a comprehensive learning experience with the benefit of being protected from the elements.
The arbor is constructed from high wood harvested from Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified plantations to ensure sustainability. The wood is then pressured treated according to international standards to ensure safety and durability by protecting against rot and insects. All of Cape Reed’s structure include stringent safety measures as standard, for example weaving flame retardant fabric through the thatch roofing.
